I Like Driving In My Car

Treated the lovely MrsN#3 to a romantic interlude away in Chester this weekend, driving across the M62 I decided to drive a slightly different way than planned as there were hold-ups on the M6.

So we breezed across a little further getting off at St Helens and routing across the Runcorn bridge.

"What's that?" MrsN enquires as we pass the former site of Sutton Manor colliery right next to the motorway.

"Oh that big white thing sticking up, it's called Dream or the Face or something. It's St Helens' answer to Newcastle's Angel Of The North, or Bridgewater's Wicker Man."

"Looks more like a giant white dog turd to me."

Which I feel is somehow appropriate.
