ADM Price Fixing Fine Should Be Cut

A multi million euro fine imposed on ADM for its part in a price fixing cartel should be cut to "just" EUR29.4m, according to an advisor to Europe's highest court yesterday.

In 2001 the European Commission fined five companies a total of 135 million euros ($120.5 million) for participating in a price-fixing and market-sharing cartel in citric acid between 1991 and 1995.
